Imsouane is a fishing village halfway between Agadir and Essaouira. A headland, a cove, a break that runs for half a kilometre on the right day. We took the stone house above it and made room for seven.
Magic Bay is one of the longest point breaks in Africa. On the right swell, you paddle out and come back twenty minutes later half a kilometre down the shore.
Every Friday from May to October, we clear the rooftop and hand it to a rotating cast of residents and guests. One speaker rig, a hundred and twenty people, the Atlantic for a backdrop.
