03

Are the dorms mixed?

No. There is one men's dorm and one women's dorm, five beds each. Every bed has its own curtain, reading lamp and lockable locker, and each dorm has two shared bathrooms of its own — two women-only, two men-only.

04

Is there a minimum stay?

The standard minimum is 3 nights. Some rooms carry a different minimum in high season — the exact figure for the room and dates you pick is shown on the booking page before you pay anything.

05

What time is check-in and check-out?

Arrival is from 15:00 and departure is by 11:00. Reception is open 08:00 to 22:00 daily. If your bus or flight lands outside those hours, write to us beforehand and we will leave someone up for you.

06

Is breakfast included?

No — breakfast is not included in the room rate. You can add it to your booking for 50 MAD per person per night, and it is served on the roof from seven. Bread comes from the village bakeries; mint tea is on the house at any hour.

07

Do the rooms have a sea view?

Every room and suite looks out at the sea. Some face the bay with the mountains behind it, others face west for the sunset and the fishing port. The rooftop terrace takes in all of it at once — the whole bay, the village and the mountains.

08

Is there a pool?

Yes — the pool is downstairs, not on the roof. The roof is the panoramic terrace above it, open to the whole bay, the sea and the mountains, and that is where breakfast, the sunset and the Luma Nights sets happen.

09

Is there WiFi?

Yes, and it is free for guests throughout the lodge — in the rooms, in the dorms and up on the roof.

10

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking at the top of the plot. Come in from the parking side; the entrance steps bring you straight down into reception.

How do I book a room or a bed?

12

Can I pay by card?

Deposits are paid by bank transfer — we do not collect or store card numbers on this site. The balance is settled at the lodge when you arrive, in dirhams or euros.

13

How long do you hold a room before payment?

Usually 48 hours from the moment we confirm it. If the deposit or a copy of the transfer receipt has not reached us in that window, the hold is released automatically and nothing is charged.

14

What happens if I cancel?

More than 14 days before arrival, your deposit is refunded in full. Between 7 and 14 days, half of it is refunded. Less than 7 days before arrival, or a no-show, the deposit is not refunded. If we have to cancel, you get the full deposit back.

Getting to Imsouane
3 questions
15

How do I get to Imsouane from Agadir?

Imsouane sits about an hour and a half north of Agadir on the coast road, and the same again south of Essaouira — roughly halfway between the two. From Agadir Al Massira airport, where most guests fly in, it is about two hours. Rent a car and take the slow road up, or we can arrange a pickup from the airport as a booking add-on.

Route de la Plage, Imsouane, Souss-Massa 83350, Morocco — 30°50′27″N, 9°49′05″W. Park at the top of the plot and come in from the parking side; the entrance steps bring you straight into reception.

17

Do I need a car once I am there?

Not for the lodge itself. The village, the harbour and the bay are all within a walk, and the path down to the break starts just below us. A car is worth having if you want to reach Paradise Valley or the beaches further up the coast.

Surfing at Magic Bay
3 questions
18

What is the wave at Imsouane like?

Magic Bay is the longest right-hand point break on the African continent — a slow, sandy-bottomed wave that can run for several hundred metres when a west or north-west Atlantic swell wraps the headland. It is a point break, so it is patient rather than heavy.

19

Can beginners surf Imsouane?

It is one of the friendliest waves in Morocco to learn on. We run lessons at Magic Bay in groups of four, on foam boards for the first morning and fibreglass from day two.

20

Can I rent a surfboard?

Yes, from the shed at the lodge — fibreglass boards from 6'0 to 9'2 and wetsuits from 2mm up, rented by the day for as long as you like.
